FEATURES

SHEATH REMOVAL
Sheath snaps onto either end. To remove, take off carabiner and use the tab to expose the blade. Snap onto other end to extend the handle of the knife.

FIRE STARTING TIPS
Tinder: Collect dry grass, wood shavings, pocket lint, or any other flammable material. The core strands of the paracord will also work. Make sure the tinder is very dry. Make a small pile of tinder with a small depression in the middle to catch the sparks.

Making the spark: With the blade facing away from you, place the the fire starting rod in the notch shown. Apply pressure with the knife, pushing firmly and quickly away from you to create a spark. During first use, you will need to strike several times to remove protective black coating.

Lighting the tinder: Hold the firstone just above the pile of tinder. Strike the firestone, aiming the sparks into the tinder. Repeat until the tinder lights. Once the tinder lights, blow lightly on the tinder to get a larger flame.

Build the fire: Slowly add small kindling to the burning tinder. Add larger kindling until the fire is established. Add logs until the fire is the desired size.
